Tuesday, August 02, 2005
Serbian Minister of International Economic Relations Predrag Ivanovic said on Sunday the number of Serbian tourists to Egypt is expected to double to 100,000 despite the recent terrorist attacks in Sharm el-Sheikh.

Speaking at a joint press conference with Minister of International Cooperation Fayza Abul Naga, Ivanovic said the world should unify efforts in combating terrorism, which has no religion.

He hailed Egypt`s swift and tactful handling of the situation following the attacks that hit a seafront hotel, a busy market and a park on July 23.

The Minister said it never crossed his mind to put off his visit to Egypt after the criminal attacks.

He said Egypt is a strategic trade partner of Serbia.
