Egypt`s government continues to support tourism
Thursday, September 08, 2005
On the occasion of the MD.Travel fair Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed Nazif asserted Tuesday that the government will continue its policy of providing support to the tourism industry which currently tops the list of foreign currency earners.

The political leadership is paying great attention to the tourism sector through eradicating obstacles facing the tourist flow as well as attracting more investments in the tourist projects.

Minister of Tourism Ahmed El-Meghrabi marked the Fair as the most important event in the promotion of Egyptian tourism.

He continued by noting that the number of participating countries increases year after year, practically transforming the Fair into Egypt`s tourism stock.

they will have temporary and minimal effect and the situation will stabilize in a year or two

we should be looking at a restructuring in the international tourism movements and trends

it is still too early to access the impact on world tourism, medium or long term

we will see more tourism closer to home, and less international travel
