NBTA responds to hurricane Katrina by donating to Red Cross, providing resources to members
Thursday, September 08, 2005
The National Business Travel Association (NBTA) announced it will make a donation to the American Red Cross to support Hurricane Katrina relief efforts. The $12,500 donation represents a contribution of $5 on behalf of each of NBTA`s 2,500 corporate and government travel managers and travel service providers members. To assist the corporate travel industry in addressing the business travel-related challenges posed by the disaster, NBTA has launched a Hurricane Katrina Resource Page to provide travel updates and information related to the storm.

Suzanne Fletcher, president and CEO of NBTA, remarked, NBTA is pleased to support the relief effort to help those devastated by the storm regain their lives. Unfortunately, this kind of event gives corporate travel professionals an opportunity to serve their companies in a time of crisis. On behalf of our members, NBTA is honored to take the additional step of donating directly to the important relief work of the Red Cross.
