Travel Channel International to broadcast WTM TV Programme

World Travel Market has once again linked up with Travel Channel International to broadcast a programme on the event, to over 95 countries in 11 languages across Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

The Travel Channel International WTM programme will report on the latest exhibitor developments, new products and services and key issues during World Travel Market week at ExCeL London (Monday 14 -Thursday 17 November).

Fiona Jeffery, Group Exhibition Director said, Travel Channel International presents a uniquely panoramic and objective perspective on travel with a huge mix of entertaining and informative programmes.

This is the fourth year we will have worked with Travel Channel International to make consumers aware of the importance of World Travel Market and its role in shaping the global industry during 2006. What is discussed and negotiated here will influence their future holiday trends and choices.


Travel Channel International`s CEO, Richard Wolfe said We are delighted to be working closely with World Travel Market, and look forward to producing a special half hour programme bringing the latest news from the world`s biggest industry to millions of would-be business and leisure travellers across three continents.

Travel Channel International will also be producing on the World Stage at ExCeL London, World Travel Market`s Passport Competition prize presentation on Wednesday 16 and Thursday 17 November with Travel Weekly, aimed at travel agents, where prizes include educational trips around the world. TV celebrity and presenter Jeff Brazier will host the show.

In the UK, Travel Channel has also been producing Thomson TV for TUI UK since June 2004. Showcasing a wide range of holidays, from cruises to beach deals, Thomson TV transmits 18 hours a day at EPG 637.
