Zoom announces expanded 2006 summer schedule
Monday, September 26, 2005

Zoom Airlines announced details of its completed summer 2006 programme of flights, increasing the number of Canadian destinations  serviced from regional airports.

The summer 2006 schedule, beginning in May, will operate low-cost scheduled flights from five UK hubs to eight Canadian destinations, with the introduction of a weekly flight from Cardiff and Belfast to Vancouver.

The new Vancouver service will depart weekly on a Saturday from Cardiff to Vancouver via Belfast departing on a Saturday.

Zoom will continue to offer the lowest scheduled airfares across the Atlantic with prices starting at £69 one-way plus tax to East Coast destinations.

Flights from Belfast, Cardiff and Manchester were introduced this year and have proved to be extremely popular with the travelling public. Zoom increased the frequency of flights and the number of destinations served from each regional airport throughout the summer and additional routes have been added for 2006 to cater for the outstanding level of regional demand.

Debbie Marshall, UK Director of Zoom Airlines, said: "Vancouver is a vibrant city and has proved to be one of the most popular summer routes this year. We are delighted to be adding this destination to our Cardiff and Belfast service offerings completing our summer 2006 programme. We will continue to offer the lowest scheduled fares across the Atlantic, adding Canada to the list of affordable summer destination for all holiday makers in the UK."

The Gatwick service will operate flights to all eight Canadian destinations that Zoom flies to and flights from Glasgow will serve five of the most popular routes.

The Cardiff and Belfast services will operate scheduled flights to Vancouver and Toronto and flights from Manchester will include Toronto, Vancouver and Calgary.
