On Sep. 6, the Kimdaejung Convention Center opened in Gwangju, and on Sept. 9, the Changwon Exhibition Convention Center(CECO) opened its doors to offer its facilities for international exhibitions and meetings. CECO is located at the heart of the capitol of machine industry, Changwon City.

CECO held its opening ceremony on the 9th, amidst an audience of approximately 1000 provincial citizens, including the Prime Minister and other government officials, Gyeongnam Provincial Governor Kim Tae Ho, Changwon City Mayor Park Wan Soo, and provincial representatives of the National Assembly.
COEX is commissioned to manage CECO for the first five years of its opening. CECO will be promoting its specialized industrial environment, and is expected to grow into a leading industry-specialized business marketing arena in the southern coast of Korea.

CECO is also holding the International Factory Automation System Show 2005 (KOFAS 2005) from Sept. 9 to 12. KOFAS is one of the largest factory automation related exhibition in Korea. Furthermore, the Auto Parts Korea 2005 is to be held from Sept. 29.
