Qatar Airways exhibited at leading Arab Travel Show-AWTTE 2005

Qatar Airways, took part in AWTTE 2005 - the leading travel exhibition in Beirut held last week where it showcased its Five Star hospitality.

The high profile Arab World Travel and Tourism Conference and Exhibition (AWTTE) attracted thousands of visitors from the regional travel trade, corporations, media, and the public between September 29 - October 2.

The four-day held at the BIEL Centre in the Lebanese capital.

Qatar Airways had a dedicated stand at the show giving visitors the opportunity to meet senior airline staff and learn more about the carrier’s high service standards and unique hospitality.

Over the next three months, Nairobi, Madrid and Berlin will be added to the airline’s rapidly growing international network from its operational hub of Doha, capital of the State of Qatar in the Persian Gulf.

The additional routes will increase Qatar Airways’ global reach from 66 to 69 destinations across Europe, Middle East, Africa, Indian sub-continent and the Far East.

On November 15, Qatar Airways will launch five-flights-a-week to the Kenyan capital, Nairobi; Madrid will be served three-times-a-week from December 2; and Berlin four-times-a-week beginning December 15.

Qatar Airways Chief Executive Officer Akbar Al Baker said: AWTTE reinforces Qatar Airways’ position as a global carrier in the region. It gives us great pleasure to represent Qatar in Beirut, and at the same time, strengthen our relationships with existing trade partners and develop business with new ones.

Speaking on the growth of Qatar Airways, Al Baker added: Qatar Airways has experienced unprecedented expansion over the past few years and will continue well into the future.

The airline is continuing to soar to new heights with the addition of three exciting new routes that will be launched by the end of this year.
