In an effort to draw more tourism as well as increase cultural awareness, a series of three exhibitions are due to take place this year entitled Byzantine Hours in Mystras, Athens and Thessaloniki. The exhibitions, which refer to Byzantine culture and include Byzantine antiquities from the country`s museums, findings from recent excavations and Byzantine exhibits from 42 museums around the world, are expected to boost the inflow of tourists to all three cities as well as at the same time draw the attention of international officials concerned with such artifacts. All three exhibitions, which are under the aegis of the Ministry of Culture, and set to parallel be developed in Mystras, Athens and Thessaloniki are expected to be held between August this year and January 2002.
