British Airways interested in a piece of Olympic Airways
Monday, September 27, 1999
British Airways is interested in obtaining up to a 25% stake in state-owned Olympic<.> Airways, according to BA`s representative here in Greece, Vassilis Dalaris, provided the Greek government decides to go ahead with its plan to sell part of the carrier to the private sector.

Mr. Dalaris quoted the Qantas deal where BA picked up 25% of the Australian national carrier. He added that Qantas remains an independent carrier but now with strong management and envious profit.
