Thursday, November 24, 2005
Royal Jordanian volunteered to transfer aid offered by British charities aboard its planes from London to Amman. Royal Jordanian Air Force further transported the goods from Amman to Pakistan, to assist the victims of October earthquake.

RJ aircraft transported more than 35 tons of blankets and various winter garments on its flights coming from London. HRH The Countess of Wessex, a number of British charity organizations, some Rotary clubs and British Tesco supervised the collection of the material.

In mid-October 2005, the airline operated four airfreight flights from Amman to Islamabad, in collaboration with the United Nations. It carried medicine, food and other stuff for the people in need.

RJ has constantly contributed to relief and assistance operations to help alleviate the suffering of people affected by wars and natural catastrophes.
