Helios Airways adds new scheduled regional route Newcastle - Paphos
Friday, January 06, 2006
Scheduled low fare, full frills airline Helios Airways has recently added a new route to Cyprus for its winter 2006 schedule. The scheduled airline will now operate weekly departures from Newcastle to Paphos.

Sales & Marketing Manager for Helios Airways, Mr. Nicos Anastassiades, commented, The airline decided to introduce a scheduled flight from Newcastle since demand for holidays to Cyprus, particularly to Paphos, has significantly increased for the winter period. Our fares are competitive and we offer a high standard of service to all our clients. Manchester and Gatwick are strong performers in our scheduled routes so we are confident that Newcastle will prove to be successful and help to make Cyprus more accessible within the regional market.

How is the use of biofuels by the aviation industry going to affect the environment?

It will be a positive step towards fighting climate change, as the aviation industry will be able to reduce its C02 emissions.

It will be positive for the environment but it will cause huge problems in other industries such as the food industry, especially in food supply.

It will have a negative impact as the widespread planting and use of biofuel crops could threaten the natural ecosystems.

It will harm the environment as carbon savings from biofuels are negligible.
