SN flies UNICEF mission together with Princess Mathilde to Africa

Princess Mathilde and UNICEF left on board of an SN Brussels Airlines flight for a 4 day mission in Africa. This mission aims to draw the attention of a wide public to the effect of AIDS on children. SN is the official partner of UNICEF Belgium.
On 18th November 2003, SN Brussels Airlines became an official partner of UNICEF Belgium, with a mission to provide logistic and financial support to UNICEF Belgium. At the launch of the Africa flights in April 2002, SN already restored the historical, social, economical and cultural link between Belgium and a dozen of African destinations - and the company confirmed its commitment for supporting numerous social and cultural projects on the African continent. Being conscious about the enormous needs to fulfill, the young company understood that, as well as to short term projects, it was very necessary to also provide support to long term projects of the African communities and especially to children. Thus, a long time partnership with UNICEF Belgium was born.
SN did not want to limit the partnership to giving free tickets, but also wanted to fulfill a social role by making its employees and millions of clients sensitive to the important work done by UNICEF. The clients and employees of SN have responded to the solidarity requests by offering millions of airmiles to the United Nations Childrens Fund, thus allowing UNICEF to reduce travel costs.
SN Brussels Airlines has the honour to welcome aboard HRH Princess Mathilde accompanied by a UNICEF Belgium and journalists’ delegation. The delegation will travel via Nairobi (Kenya) to its final destination Tanzania. During the four day stay they will visit several organisations and projects fighting the HIV virus, concentrating on its disastrous consequences especially for children.
