Thomson boosts family focus for summer 2007
Tuesday, May 23, 2006
The UK’s Lakes & Mountains holiday company, Thomson, have launched their preview edition of next summer’s brochure featuring nearly 100 resorts in 13 countries and the market’s widest choice of hotels, B&B, self-catering properties as well as tours, fly drives, river cruises and twin centre holidays.

New for 2007 is the ‘Family Resort’ Werfenweng in Austria. Product Director Gareth Crump said: Werfenweng is a unique village popular with all ages. It provides good value with a high quality, all inclusive Austrian hotel. With its free kids clubs, a wide variety of family activities and a wide range of sporting activities, it will complement our traditional lakes and mountains holidays range.

Poll
How will the currently developing financial crisis and oil prices rally affect the tourism industry?.

they will have temporary and minimal effect and the situation will stabilize in a year or two

we should be looking at a restructuring in the international tourism movements and trends

it is still too early to access the impact on world tourism, medium or long term

we will see more tourism closer to home, and less international travel
