SN Brussels Airlines and Belgian tv collaborate to Africa flights
Wednesday, May 24, 2006

Within the scope of the total revamp of the longhaul product, SN Brussels Airlines has concluded a unique partnership with the RTBF. This partnership allows SN to offer its clients flying to/from Africa the  well known travel broadcast «Les Carnets du Bourlingueur». This kind of cooperation between SN Brussels Airlines and the French speaking Belgian television station is unique in Belgium.

Philosophy

This programme, hosted by the charismatic character of the Bourlingueur Philippe Lambillon for the last 15 years, has known an undeniable success. Since 1992, Philippe Lambillon has produced, realised and presented Les Carnets du Bourlingueur for the RTBF and TV5 MONDE. The reports are based on true exotical fiction with a strong humoristic tone. The broadcasts that will be shown on board end with practical and humoristic travel tips, some of which are filmed on board of SN aircraft.

Jean-Paul Philippot, Chief Executive Officer of the RTBF declared: “We are very pleased with the creative and unique partnership between our popular travel broadcast and the Belgian airline SN Brussels Airlines. It wil contribute to the reinforcement of the international visibility of our programmes”.

Ursulla Silling, Executive Vice President Commercial of SN Brussels Airlines added “this kind of partnership perfectly fits into the philosophy of SN Brussels Airlines to fulfill the needs of our clients. By offering our passengers travelling to Africa their preferred travel broadcast, we give them the opportunity to discover our African destinations by focusing on the richness of the continent.”
