EL AL carries Israel`s prime minister to Bush
Wednesday, May 24, 2006
EL AL Israel Airlines’ President Haim Romano personally sent off Israel’s Prime Minister Ehud Olmert on a dedicated EL AL 767 aircraft headed for the U.S.A. This was the Prime Minister’s first trip to meet with President Bush and other high-level U.S.A. officials since being elected.

The Prime Minister and his wife Aliza landed in Washington, D.C. along with a delegation of 100 staff, media and security. Received with red carpet treatment, they were met in D.C. by Israel’s Ambassador to the U.S.A. Danny Ayalon, other dignitaries, and EL AL personnel. The dedicated EL AL aircraft was reconfigured to meet special requirements of the office of the Prime Minister, who will return to Israel on EL AL later this week.

Poll
How is the use of biofuels by the aviation industry going to affect the environment?

It will be a positive step towards fighting climate change, as the aviation industry will be able to reduce its C02 emissions.

It will be positive for the environment but it will cause huge problems in other industries such as the food industry, especially in food supply.

It will have a negative impact as the widespread planting and use of biofuel crops could threaten the natural ecosystems.

It will harm the environment as carbon savings from biofuels are negligible.
