Axis appoints new business development manager for Sydney CVB

Barbara Howlett will serve as the new Business Development Manager for the Sydney Convention and Visitors Bureau (SCVB) and Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre (SCEC). The appointment has been made by Axis Sales & Marketing.

With a strong background within the hotel industry, Barbara worked for seven years with Jarvis Hotels Ltd with particular sector experience in; Sales, Conference & Meetings and Administration. During 2005 Barbara spent four months travelling in Australia spending time in Sydney.

The Sydney Convention and Visitors Bureau was named Australia’s top conference and tourism organisation for the second year in a row in the Meetings & Events Australia awards for 2005.
