Vacation strengthens management team
Thursday, July 06, 2006
Vacation – North America’s leading travel services marketing organization – has hired a new Business Development Manager for Western Canada, a new Director for the Vacation CruiseCentre and has adjusted responsibilities for some of the current executive team, designed to focus on membership and supplier support.

“I`m always looking to strengthen and compliment the management team,” said Steve Tracas, President and CEO of Vacation, adding: “We took this opportunity to add some strong individuals to our organization, while adjusting our current team to ensure focus on the key areas of membership and supplier support.”

The two new hires are Sue Urie, as the new Business Development Manager for Western Canada, and Craig Collins as the new Director of Call Center Operations overseeing Membership Services and the Vacation CruiseCenter in Alexandria, Virginia.

“Both of these individuals bring a wealth of knowledge and leadership ability to their respective positions.” Tracas said. “We are very fortunate to be able to attract such talented individuals to Vacation to compliment our dedicated staff.”

In addition, Vacation has adjusted the responsibilities of some key individuals.

John Lovell, formerly Vice President of Sales, has moved to team up with Senior Vice President Marty Braunstein on supplier relations. “We will now team John, as Vice President of Supplier Relations, with Marty to focus on supplier negotiations and opportunities, as this area continues to grow in importance,” Tracas added.

Jared Braunstein, formerly Eastern Regional Vice President has been promoted to Vice President of Sales, overseeing all sales activity throughout the U.S. and Canada. “He`s aggressive, focused, and linked directly into the membership. In this role as Vice President of Sales, Jared will be based in the field, close to the membership,” Tracas said.

“I’d still like to strengthen our business development/analytical team, and ultimately develop our technology group as well,” Tracas said. “Over time, we’ll see how the pieces come together, and who can add strength to our various teams as needed.”
