Vacation.com – North America’s travel services marketing organization – has announced plans to support the return of tourism to New Orleans by bringing its
9th International Conference & Trade Show to the Hilton New Orleans Riverside, June 27- July 1, 2007.
“With 25% of the travel agency community as Vacation.com members, we’re happy to assist New Orleans in promoting its renewed spirit. Our members are eager to support the local economy and aid in the rejuvenation of this dynamic destination,” said
Steve Tracas, president and CEO of Vacation.com.
On the heels of the organization’s most successful conference to-date (held last month in Las Vegas), planning is well underway to make the 2007 Conference the best and most memorable show in Vacation.com history. Highlights on tap for the program include:
- More than 100 hours of profit-enhancing seminars, presentations, and hands-on training sessions
- High-profile speakers exploring the hottest travel topics, trends and issues
- Networking and relationship building with colleagues and suppliers
- Preferred Supplier Trade Show previewing the latest and greatest travel content and services
- Exciting entertainment and receptions each evening
- Special “N’Awlins” sightseeing tours, events and giveaways
Vacation.com’s recent conference welcomed 1,364 delegates with new, informative seminars and a host of entertaining speakers providing valuable insight into the status of the travel agency industry and its promising future. Entertainment highlights from the program included the cast from the Broadway show “Chicago” and entertainment directly from Royal Caribbean’s “Explorer of the Seas.” Vacation expects to attract more than 1,500 attendees to the 2007 show, which will make it a record-breaking program for the organization.
“With rave reviews and accolades for our recent show in Las Vegas still coming in from members and suppliers alike, some may deem the 2006 show a ‘hard act to follow.’ We’ll be pulling out all the stops for our much-anticipated return to New Orleans to help make this the most exciting – and rewarding – conference yet,” said
Lauraday Kelley, CTC, MCC, vice president, Education & Training, Vacation.com.
“We will be featuring several special touches for our 2007 program to remind agents of all New Orleans has to offer vacationers,” added Kelley.
