The two countries will sign a memorandum of understanding on expansion of bilateral cooperation in various fields of tourism industry in the near future, Iran`s Charge d`Affaires to Beijing Farhad Assadi said.

As Mr. Assadi said, Iran and China prepared a draft memorandum of understanding on expansion of tourism cooperation which was also confirmed by senior officials of the two countries. We strive the MoU will be signed by the two sides` officials during a ceremony to be held in Tehran or Beijing.

China announced its nation regards Iran as among countries with great tourism attractions, an important event in Tehran-Beijing relations in 2005. Assadi stated that Iran intends to hold a big conference within the next few months on its tourism industry and attractions after the sides sign the MoU.

Chinese tourists can exchange the highest number of messages of friendship between the two nations and governments, he said.

The official noted that Chinese people are interested in the Iranian culture and civilization, adding that Chinese academicians and intellectuals are also willing to have more information about Iran`s political and social system.
