Travel Alliance Partners supports New Orleans
Monday, September 04, 2006
On the one year anniversary of the devastation and collapse of not only the Gulf Coast, but it’s tourism industry, Travel Alliance Partners, LLC plans to show their support for their colleagues and announces that their 2006 Annual Business Meeting has been moved to New Orleans, Louisiana on December 6 & 7, 2006. TAP’s hope is to encourage all tour operators to help in the economic revival to the area via tourism.

With a thorough understanding of the historical and cultural richness of New Orleans, as well as it’s tourism importance, TAP desires to make a personal investment in the area and hopes to serve as an example to other companies considering Gulf Coast destinations for group tours, conventions and conferences. As part of TAP’s official business in New Orleans, there are scheduled meetings with local and state tourism officials to discuss the post Katrina situation. The goal is to work together with these officials to create more travel packages to the region, which will in turn encourage economic revival.

“We are thrilled that the TAP partners have decided to come to New Orleans and help plan new tours and show the country that we are open for business and that visiting us truly helps our economy. The network and geographic area that the partners cover in North America, can only help spread our word more quickly,” said Lisa Holland, Tourism Sales Manager, New Orleans Metropolitan Convention and Visitors Bureau.

TAP distinguished itself as a group of travel professionals that does business with great allegiance and respect for its tour supplier partners. The decision to meet in New Orleans this December is just an example of this constancy. “We have many very good friends in the Gulf, and we believe it is or obligation to visit and plan more visits for our customers to the region. Suppliers and Partners need to work hand in hand to help accelerate the tourism revival in the Gulf. We hope that this trip will encourage, not only TAP partners, but all tour operators in North America, to plan and execute tours in the region in the very near future,” said Serge Talbot, President of Travel Alliance Partners, LLC.

During the two day conference, partners will be discussing official business of Travel Alliance Partners, including how to manage the fast growth of TAP and to evaluate numerous partnership marketing agreements with destinations. The goal of meeting with tourism officials and strategic tourism vendors and attractions is to work together with these officials to create more travel packages to the region.
