Domina Hotel Group devotes to Design collaborating with Domus Academy’s Master in Interior and Living Design. The brief given to students had an aim: to rethink the concept of a city commercial medium to high end hotel. The focus of the seminar particularly concentrated upon the definition of a new idea of comfort and well being reached through affordable material and immaterial qualities. The students worked on defining new hotel layouts for rooms, food and beverage outlets and public areas.

The ten international groups that participated to the workshop “Hotel Experience Trends: Urban Resort”, were supported throughout the development of their projects by Fabrizio Lepore, Italian architect currently concentrating upon highly communicative and creative projects and Matteo Nunziati, designer specialized in luxury hotel, wellness and spa design. After a month’s work they presented ten different hotel concepts.

“Believing in creativity and innovation, the collaboration with Domus Academy and its students has been a great opportunity for Domina Hotel Group to learn what future design trends and needs will be.” says Jean Patrick Thiry, Managing Director. “Investing in youth, its talents and its suggestions has certainly fulfilled expectations. The projects are a stimulating result to analyze and work on. Interesting is how the students think, just like we do, that being an Italian Hotel Group is an important value added, the leading motif to reach the guests’ hotel experience.”

The projects include: “Energy Hotel”, “Reconnect”, “Gym Lounge Hotel”, “D-Serve”, “Value Added Trip”, “OGAM”, “Roman Holiday”, “taste.it”, “Behind closed doors”, and “Hotel Fuga”.
