Radisson`s Dubai Deira Creek appoints Director of sales and marketing
Thursday, September 14, 2006
Radisson SAS Hotel, Dubai Deira Creek, part of the first-class brand of Rezidor SAS Hospitality, has appointed Walid Al-Awa as its Director of Sales and Marketing. The property is currently the InterContinental Hotel Dubai, an established landmark on the Deira Creekside and will be re-branded Radisson SAS as of next month.

Al-Awa, a Syrian national, takes up his new role from the Four Seasons Damascus, Syria where he was Director of Sales. Al-Awa brings an impressive track record to Radisson SAS with nearly a decade of experience in hospitality industry sales. He has held leading sales positions at the Al Jubail InterContinental Hotel in Saudi Arabia, The Ritz-Carlton and Le Royal Meridian in Bahrain.

“Walid’s primary role is to grow the hotel’s sales revenue. His comprehensive knowledge and experience in hospitality sales will be a real benefit to this challenging role of helping to establish the emirate’s oldest five-star property under a fresh new brand,” said Andreas Fluckiger, General Manager, Radisson SAS Hotel, Dubai Deira Creek.
