With effect from 4 September, Mr Andreas Stys is appointed General Manager of Swissotel The Howard in London. Mr Stys replaced Mr Michael Koltes who has moved to the capital of Estonia to oversee the opening of Swissotel Tallinn, scheduled for summer 2007.
Prior to his new appointment, Mr Stys was Executive Assistant Manager of Sales & Marketing at Swissotel Berlin. The native German joined Swissotel in 2002. Previously, he held various positions in different properties in Germany within Hyatt International. Mr Stys started his hotel career with Holiday Inn Crown Plaza and Scandic Crown Hotel in Dortmund where he completed his three-year apprenticeship with the latter in 1994.
Positioned as a deluxe five star hotel with an outstanding location next to the River Thames, Mr Stys is very excited about his move to manage Swissotel The Howard, London.
Mr Stys says, “I am very delighted to manage this magnificent property which I believe has one of the best locations in London, located by the River Thames with spectacular views including all the top sites from Tower Bridge to the House of Parliament, London Eye to St. Paul’s Cathedral. With the launch of new and contemporary concepts such as Mauve, the hotel is well positioned to cater to the needs of increasingly discerning travellers.”
