NACTA`s home-based agent appreciation continues

The National Association of Commissioned Travel Agents (NACTA) home-based agent “appreciation” will be a continued theme throughout the year as well as years to come. NACTA has also created the “NACTA Super Stars” program to show appreciation for members who are excelling in the travel industry.
“We have such amazing members in NACTA, and this new program is the perfect opportunity for us to show our sincere appreciation for their tremendous efforts in demonstrating how professional and successful home-based travel agents are in this industry,” said NACTA President Joanie Ogg, CTC, MCC.
Two NACTA Members were recent recipients of the “NACTA Super Star” award at the NACTA Home-Based Agent Appreciation Day event in Orlando on Sept. 13. Alishah Kier, a dynamic chapter director in the NACTA family, was a recipient of the “NACTA Super Star” award, was presented with a certificate of achievement at NACTA’s Home-Based Agent Appreciation Day today in Orlando. Kier is currently working on a fund-raising cruise called “Locks of Love” and recently was nominated for Royal Caribbean’s Godmother search for their newest ship, Liberty of the Seas. She has successfully established a new chapter for NACTA in North Carolina in the past six months.
Nancy Terracciano, CTC, MCC, NACTA’s Northeast Regional Area Manager and Chapter Director for Maryland and Virginia, was also recognized at the event as a “NACTA Super Star.”
“Nancy has been involved in so many benevolent events and community outreach programs that it is difficult to share them all here. Suffice to say that Nancy deserves this award and she, too, has been nominated for Royal Caribbean’s Godmother search for its newest ship, Liberty of the Seas,” shared Ogg. Most recently, Terracciano has organized two Passport Saturdays, with a third on the way, in cooperation with her local post office to make the public aware of new passport regulations.
“We look forward to receiving nominations from members for future ‘Super Stars’ and building an entire galaxy of successful members on our new Web page. We feel strongly that agents who make a difference in our lives as well as their clients deserve to be appreciated and recognized,” concluded Ogg.
