Upgrading rail links in Greece
Monday, October 25, 1999
Modernization of Greece's railroad network is expected to be completed by the end of the year 2000.
The Corinth-Athens-Thessaloniki routing is to be operated by high-speed electromotion.
Travel between Athens and Thessaloniki is expected to be four hours and twenty minutes, a run which at present requires at least six hours. Other improvements in the overall rail<.> services are planned as well.
