Carlson Hotels Worldwide today announced that the company has added five new locations to its global portfolio of

These additions bring Carlson`s global portfolio to 943 hotels with 146,680 rooms in 70 countries. Carlson hotel brands also include Regent International Hotels and Park Inn.

We`re delighted with the development progress our brands have made this year, said Bill Sipple, corporate vice president of development, full service hotels, Carlson Hotels Worldwide. In all, we`ve added 70 hotels since January
1, and intend to take advantage of the continued favorable market and growth opportunities in the Americas, Asia/Pacific and the EMEA region. For the remainder of the year, we`ll stay the course, focused on having the right properties in the right places and targeting emerging countries and growing urban and suburban markets to find future growth opportunities.

Radisson Hotels & Resorts
Radisson Hotels & Resorts, whose portfolio now numbers 406 properties with 92,454 guestrooms, welcomed in September the Radisson Suites Hotel Buena Park in California. This new 201 all-suite hotel is centrally located near six major attractions in Southern California, and offers complimentary cooked-to- order breakfast each morning. Park Plaza Hotels & Resorts
One new hotel joined the Park Plaza brand in September: the new 45-room Park Plaza Sylverton Mussoorie in India. The hotel is conveniently located at Picture Palace and within close proximity to the renowned Kulri Market. The hotel is within a 60-minute drive from the Dehradun railway station and about 90 minutes from the Jolly Grant Airport. This addition brings the brand`s global property count to 44 with 7,490 guestrooms.

Country Inns & Suites By Carlson
With the addition of three new Country Inns & Suites By Carlson hotels in September, the brand currently consists of more than 403 hotels and nearly 32,196 guestrooms.

All of the new properties are located in the U.S., and include the 66-room Country Inn & Suites By Carlson-Vero Beach I-95 in Vero, Fla., owned by ECL Development, Inc.; the 64-room Country Inn & Suites By Carlson in Calhoun, Ga.; and the Country Inn & Suites By Carlson in Hampton, Va., with 96 guestrooms and is owned by DNC Hotels, LLC. How is the use of biofuels by the aviation industry going to affect the environment?

It will be a positive step towards fighting climate change, as the aviation industry will be able to reduce its C02 emissions.

It will be positive for the environment but it will cause huge problems in other industries such as the food industry, especially in food supply.

It will have a negative impact as the widespread planting and use of biofuel crops could threaten the natural ecosystems.

It will harm the environment as carbon savings from biofuels are negligible.
