Chief Executive of Libra Holidays Group, Mr Andreas Drakou and his team, met with the Minister of Tourism of Egypt, Mr Mohammed Zohier Garana, to propose the development of an integrated mixed use resort. The project will be built in the region of Marsa Alam in Egypt on a five million square metre plot of land on a beach front location. The Minister agreed to the proposal and plans are now in place to develop this exciting new project for the Group.
Chief Executive of Libra Holidays Group, Mr Andreas Drakou commented, “The development of this mixed use resort will not only be financially viable but is one which will have a positive impact on the local community and economy as a whole. This premier Red Sea resort will provide our guests the ultimate in relaxation, sports, entertainment and recreation. The project will not only offer a very high standard of hotel accommodation but will also encompass a variety of real estate developments, a marina, golfing, spa, indoor and outdoor sports activities, traditional and modern shopping piazzas, a water park and a wide range of entertainment opportunities. The different elements within this project can operate independently of each other as a single service or combined to develop new products therefore targeting a wider market segment offering something for everyone with a year round appeal. The resort will also sustain the cultural heritage within the local area through its architecture, design philosophy and facilities.”
Further to the agreement, the Group will now proceed in phases with the implementation of the project in order to make this vision a reality soon.
