The Hosted Buyers Program that took place in Philoxenia Exhibition for the second year in a row completed with success. Strong were also the numbers for this year as 98 exhibitors and co-exhibitors had 4410 registered meetings with 89 buyers from 20 countries.

Tour operators and specialized agencies in Greece’s inbound traffic and in the countries of Southeastern Europe & Mediterranean, conference and incentive organizers, specialists in wellness and spa tourism and many other from all the tourism segments of the industry participated at this year’s Hosted Buyers Program, which was organized by HELEXPO and Travel Media Applications, parent company of TravelDailyNews.

Great was also the number of the countries with the participation of United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, Ukraine, Syria, Malaysia, India, Austria, Australia, Russia, Hungary, Rumania, Latvia, USA, Lebanon, Egypt and Israel.

Exhibitors found the Hosted Buyers Program a very positive process as they had the opportunity to highlight their product in the international market and to make prosperous partnerships.

As Mr. Takis Economou from the Organization of Tourism & Cultural Development of Evia Prefecture said “We had 280 prescheduled meetings with buyers and we have managed to conduct some good partnerships. The combination of the Hosted Buyers Program along with the visitors that came to the exhibition was a good effort by the organizers of Philoxenia.”
