London ISES members participate in study tour to New York
Tuesday, November 28, 2006
Members of the International Special Events Society (ISES) UK Chapter visited their sister Chapter in New York recently as part of their first transatlantic study tour. Nine members from the UK events industry association toured a number of leading venues in New York City, including The United Nations, Grand Central Terminal and the Museum of the American Indian. The three day tour also included a visit to New York’s leading Event Show, Biz Bash.

ISES member David Hendry of Bash Bars commented; “It was a really enjoyable and interesting 3 days where we saw a great deal and met a lot of our ISES colleagues from the US. It was very worthwhile and I would certainly recommend this type of tour for anyone from the UK who is looking to develop their business internationally.”

Jennifer Claire-Scott, President of the ISES New York Metro Chapter said; “It was an absolute pleasure to host the UK Chapter here in New York. We have such a special relationship with our ISES friends from London, and I’m sure that this will become an annual date in the ISES Calendar.”

A group of ISES members from New York are due to visit London next year as part of a trip based around the ISES European Conference in April.
