Tuesday, November 28, 2006
The annual conference of the Hotel Association of Canada (HAC) in 2007 will present new trends, issues and solutions in lodging industry executives, managers and suppliers. This year, the conference has been revamped and enhanced with a new operational focus, a new format consisting of several plenary and breakout sessions.

Key presentations at the Conference feature topics such as “What can the hotel industry learn from other sectors of the hospitality industry?”; “The Challenge of Recruiting and Retaining Staff in a Tough Labour Market”; and “Yield Management: Squeezing out that last Dollar”.

HAC`s conference will also give delegates networking opportunities including a luncheon and access to a select number of exhibitors showcasing new trends, products and solutions.

Finally, HAC is organizing the Hall of Fame Awards of Excellence Dinner where the winners in the categories of Humanitarianism, Human Resources and Energy & Environment will be celebrated by their industry colleagues. Awards will be presented on the evening of February 20th and features guest speaker, Rex Murphy - a noted Canadian commentator for the CBC and Globe & Mail.

The HAC Conference is being held February 19 & 20, 2007 at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel in Toronto.
