AirPlus UK chief to head US office

AirPlus International, the travel payment provider, has revealed that their UK Managing Director of AirPlus International Ltd will become the CEO of their US operations, AirPlus International Inc. Current US CEO & President Richard Crum has been appointed President of ACTE, the Association of Corporate Travel Executives, and will be taking up this position next year. He remains President of AirPlus International Inc. and its US spokesperson, while Hanlon will become CEO and oversee day-to-day sales operations.

Spencer Hanlon commented, “I am very much looking forward to the new challenges in the US. We have built up a very successful operation in the UK, some of that success we hope to recreate in the US. In the UK things are looking very bright for us – we have gained a number of important clients and have had double figure growth year on year. My successor will be inheriting a fantastic team and a very strong product proposition. I have no doubt that AirPlus will continue to thrive in the UK.”

Hanlon’s successor, who will be heading AirPlus International in the UK is yet to be officially announced.
