MIA reveals its conference programme for 2007

The Meeting Industry Association (MIA) has revealed the date and line up for their 2007 conference. Taking place on 5th March 2007, The Definitive Meeting will be held at the Renaissance Chancery Court, London.
With a focus on corporate social responsibility and environmental best practice, confirmed speakers include Eugenie Harvey, presenting, ‘We are what we do – Change the World 9-5’ and Vanessa Cotton of ExCeL London, who will present a session on Corporate Social Responsibility.
The conference will also see the launch of AIM (Accreditation In Meetings), the MIA’s new accreditation scheme designed to increase buyers’ confidence in choosing MIA venues and suppliers. The launch will be presented by Jane Evans, MIA chief executive and MIA council member Nick Milne of Robinson College Cambridge.
With three further breakout sessions being held; covering Management, New Developments and Marketing & Communications, delegates will also have the opportunity to hear Communications Director of Visit London, Ken Kelling, presenting a session entitled ‘Dealing with the aftermath of the July bombings’.
