Thursday, February 01, 2007
EL AL will increase nonstop service between Miami and Israel and Los Angeles and Israel. Starting March 25, 2007, EL AL will increase service between Miami and Tel Aviv from two to three flights each week. The nonstop flights will depart from Miami year round on Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday.
This summer, EL AL will increase its nonstop service between Los Angeles and Tel Aviv from three to four times a week, from June 25th through August 27th.
Changes to Chicago service
In mid-April, after Passover, the EL AL direct service between Chicago and Tel Aviv will be replaced with flights via New York (JFK/Newark) or Toronto. EL AL passengers from Chicago will travel on a American carrier to New York (JFK/Newark) or Toronto to connect to the EL AL nonstop flight to Israel. EL AL has interline agreements with domestic carriers that will allow passengers to purchase one ticket from Chicago to Israel.
EL AL Midwest Regional Manager Emanuel Shaham states, We are committed to accommodate EL AL passengers who have existing reservations from Chicago and our office will continue to serve the Midwest region of the USA. This is a business decision but service to our passengers will not be compromised.
Moreover, this summer EL AL will accept two new Boeing 777 aircraft that will be utilized on the New York (JFK/Newark)/Tel Aviv and Los Angeles/Tel Aviv routes. This spring, EL AL will continue its service upgrades with new and expanded First and Business Class lounges at JFK.
