Travel Spike Honeymoons partners with TheBigDay.com
Thursday, February 08, 2007
Travel Spike has teamed with TheBigDay.com, the online honeymoon registry, to create brand new Featured Destination and Featured Resort programs. As TheBigDay.com partner, Travel Spike will highlight world-class resorts and destinations to introduce couples and wedding planners to more ideas for honeymoon hot spots and Destination Weddings.

“Each and every honeymoon should be as interesting and unique as the newlyweds who will embark on it,” said Ryan Bifulco, founder and president of Travel Spike. “Our partnership is an opportunity to combine our travel industry expertise with the high-tech offerings at TheBigDay.com. And, since more and more couples are using the Internet to book their honeymoon travel or Destination Wedding, our joint venture will expose them to memorable options and new destinations.”

“We are very happy to have Travel Spike on our team and look forward to the Featured Destination program,” said Michael Cottam, co-founder of TheBigDay.com. “We want to make sure that those couples who register at TheBigDay.com will see all the adventures, experiences, and romantic moments that are possible at the Featured Destination. We know that Travel Spike has unsurpassed talent and experience in the industry and are excited to leverage those assets at TheBigDay.com.”

Poll
How do you expect luxury travel to perform in times of economic downturn?.

Providers of luxury travel products are going to witness shorter stays by their customers and an increase in seasonality.

People are going to become more value conscious and will opt for those luxury offers that represent a convincing value-for-money proposition. Providers of overpriced services are those to feel the pinch.

Both people paying for their personal trips and firms paying for their top executives' business trips will cut back on travel expenses, thus affecting all luxury travel providers.

It is going to be business as usual. Those people opting for high-end travel products are not going to be affected by the looming crisis.
