The Rezidor Hotel Group reveals plans for new Radisson at Hamburg Airport

The Rezidor Hotel Group has revealed plans for a new Radisson hotel at Hamburg Airport. The Radisson Hamburg Airport Hotel is slated to open in July 2009. The owners and developers of this project are the Freie und Hansestadt Hamburg, Airport-Hotel-Hamburg GmbH & Co. KG and FAY Management Holding AG. This will be the second property in Hamburg for The Rezidor Hotel Group, which currently manages the Radisson SAS Hotel Hamburg.

“Germany is one of our most important markets, and the city of Hamburg in particular is a key location”, comments Kurt Ritter, president & CEO of The Rezidor Hotel Group, “We currently already have a strong presence in the German market and are looking forward to expanding our growth in this region with this new property.”

The Radisson Hamburg Airport Hotel will have a direct connection to Terminal 2, serving Lufthansa and other Star Alliance flights.

The new The Radisson Hamburg Airport Hotel is part of the company’s ongoing expansion plan. Within the next two years, Rezidor plans to add 20,000 rooms to its international portfolio.
