easyJet includes new capital in network
Wednesday, February 28, 2007
easyJet has arrived at Brussels Airport. easyJet was not yet active on the Belgian market, but with the start of its activities in Brussels this gap is now filled. As of June 2007 easyJet will operate a daily service between Brussels and Geneva; as of September the frequency is increased to two flights a day from Monday to Friday.
During a press conference earlier in Brussels, Francois Bacchetta, general manager for easyJet France & Benelux, and Peter Voets, marketing manager for easyJet Switzerland, said: We are happy to announce the arrival of easyJet in Belgium. Our presence here gives us the opportunity to offer the Belgian traveller a high-quality, low-fare service to Geneva. We are aware of the important ties that unite both cities, the two institutional capitals of the European continent. Henceforth easyJet will contribute to the development of business exchanges and opportunities between Brussels and the banks of the lake of Geneva.
