GHRS enters United States market

GHRS, the online hotel distribution company, will expands its distribution network with the acquisition of a wide range of accommodation in the States. This marks a turning point in GHRS expansion strategy. Luca Fenzo, GHRS managing director, commented “within the third quarter of 2007, GHRS network will include the most important and famous cities in the U.S with more than 10.000 properties.”

“The strength of GHRS, as one of Europe’s leading online distribution companies, will ensure that we continue our strong growth and consolidate our position in the travel market extending our network of already more than 12.000 properties.”

“What distinguishes the company is the ability of conceiving solutions that always meet the customer needs”, continued Fenzo. “The particular care and the attention given to every single contact together with our consolidated experience make of GHRS the perfect provider for both corporate and leisure consumers. These are the main grounds of our strong and continuous growth”.

Thanks to the development of a new connection technology to hotel CRS, GHRS signed agreement with some of the most important international hotel chains such as Hilton.

How do you expect luxury travel to perform in times of economic downturn?.

Providers of luxury travel products are going to witness shorter stays by their customers and an increase in seasonality.

People are going to become more value conscious and will opt for those luxury offers that represent a convincing value-for-money proposition. Providers of overpriced services are those to feel the pinch.
