Moresand chooses GoQuo for online and dynamic packaging
Friday, March 30, 2007
Online technology specialist GoQuo has been selected to develop online booking and dynamic packaging capabilities in a three-phase project for four operating companies of travel group Moresand Ltd.

Established in 1986, London-based Moresand Ltd employs 50 staff across its individual branded travel agencies: Moresand Holidays (specialising in the Caribbean, Middle East and Asia), Crystal Travel (flight only), Sam Travel & Tours (Indian sub-continent specialist), Air Travel Guide (trade only flight consolidator business), and Relaxx Travel (business travel).

Project starts with Air Travel Guide

In the first project phase, GoQuo will design, customize and implement its GQAgent flight booking solution to support Air Travel Guide’s online sale of published, nett and CAT 35 fares for over 75 airlines to several thousand UK leisure and business travel agents.

Moresand Ltd director John Kalia explained: “Essentially, we’ll be providing a very user-friendly online booking facility for agents, plus a web interface for our busy call centre, that lets them access, book and mark up nett fares. For example, once a booking is made from flight inventory held on GoQuo’s database, GoQuo will process it, confirm availability, and also offer price and location options for different fares to maximize choice and value. It’s all about making the most of our resources and squeezing more value out of the business.”

Leisure and business travel in Phases 2 and 3

The second phase of the GoQuo project will bring dynamic packaging to the retail web sites of Moresand Holidays and Crystal Travel, enabling their consumer customers to make online booking of flights, hotels, car rental and a growing range of other travel products and services.

The third phase for corporate travel agency Relaxx Travel will focus on developing a white label online business booking solution that can be individually branded for the agency’s corporate customers.

According to Mr Kalia, the GoQuo project should add a minimum 10% in additional revenues by bringing all the benefits of online travel services to the heart of Moresand’s diverse travel interests. “Whatever the channel – public and trade web site, call centre or online corporate – we see big benefits in implementing GoQuo’s solutions which will grow with our business.”

He said GoQuo was selected because its team understood the importance of system user-friendliness and solution customisation, had impeccable references, offered up-to-date technology that would deliver fast booking speeds, and could implement quickly.

GoQuo managing director Ron Ramanan commented: “This is a major win for GoQuo as it is a multi-part phased project that harnesses most of our online booking and dynamic packaging solutions. Moresand’s strategic decision to go down this route should bring significant benefit to its end customers and help drive more sales.”
