Zoom expands winter 2007-2008 schedule of Canada flights
Tuesday, April 03, 2007
Details of its expanded winter schedule of flights from the UK to Canada have been revealed by Zoom Airlines. This winter, Zoom has experienced an unprecedented level of demand for its low-cost full scheduled flights from all five UK airports to Canada, highlighting Canada’s popularity as a year-round holiday destination. This level of demand has also been encourage by excellent snow conditions experience in Canada’s main ski resorts of British Columbia, Alberta and Quebec.

A new weekly scheduled flight will operate from Belfast to Vancouver departing on a Thursday, allowing Zoom to tap into the localised and thriving snow-sports market in Northern Ireland.

Zoom has also introduced an additional weekly scheduled flight from London Gatwick to Vancouver throughout the winter, increasing the frequency on this route to three per week. Flights from London Gatwick to Montreal double to two per week and an additional flight has also been introduced to Toronto, increasing the frequency on this route from two to three per week.

Toronto has proved to be a popular city-break destination throughout winter. Zoom has increased the frequency on this service from both Glasgow and Manchester to offer a twice weekly service to cater for demand.

Jonathan Hinkles, UK Managing Director of Zoom Airlines said: “We are delighted to be expanding our Canadian winter flight schedule on the back of a very successful season. The additional flights to Vancouver, Montreal and Toronto from national and regional airports will strengthen our position as the leading leisure airline in the UK-Canada market for city-breaks and winter sports tour operators and individual snow-sport enthusiasts.”

“Our new flight schedules offer the flexibility of a seven, ten, 11 or 14 night stays at some of the world’s top ski resorts including Banff, Jasper, Whistler, Lake Louise and Tremblant and at prices equivalent to European fares.”

Additional flights will also be added over the Christmas and New Year period to cater for the high level of demand on popular routes.
