Korean Air receives award for Best Economy Class

Korean Air has scooped the OAG award for the Best Economy Class at the annual Airline of the Year Awards held at the Landmark Hotel in London on Tuesday 17 April 2007. The ceremony, attended by leading figures in the airline industry, was hosted by sports presenter Steve Ryder, in the presence of HRH The Princess Royal. The evening also marked the Awards’ 25th anniversary.

Mr. Jonghee Lee, President of Korean Air, said, “Korean Air aspires to excel in the industry and this aspiration is the driving force behind our innovative services and facilities for our customers. The goal of achieving “Excellence in Flight” will continue to serve as our guiding direction and we hope we can continue to win the hearts of our passengers and the support of our industry partners.”

The award was received by Mr Dal Ho Kang, Korean Air Managing Vice President for Europe, M.E & Africa.
Korean Air was also short-listed for the following awards:

  • Best International First Class


  • Best Airline Based in Asia
