GoQuo is to provide its GQ Dynamic solution and a suite of internet booking engines to the online agency service of international travel business ActiGlobe SA. ActiGlobe, headquartered in Athens with a technical department in London, claims a unique market position.
As part a major upgrade to its online presence, ActiGlobe has commissioned GoQuo to install its GQ Dynamic solution which will enable online customers to package travel products, such as flights, hotels, car rental and travel insurance, in one booking. The solution will also be programmed to suggest travel product components or combinations to the customer, so improving choice and sales potential.
The full GoQuo solution includes a B2C flight booking engine (including an insurance booking module), a hotel booking engine with XML access to GoQuo’s Hotelbeds accommodation provider and to other requested suppliers, and a car booking engine with XML access to requested suppliers.
Katerina Karakosta, Product & Marketing Manager at ActiGlobe in Athens, explained: “ActiGlobe’s success, both as a source of news and information on all aspects of travel and as a full service agency, is based on the enthusiasm and professionalism of our staff. But we realised that we could do much more with our web site presence to deliver more choice for our customers and therefore more sales opportunity for the business. GoQuo impressed with its track record and expertise in helping agencies upgrade their online activities, and we’re confident we’ll soon see looks turning into bookings.”
GoQuo MD Ron Ramanan added that ActiGlobe’s business aspirations are typical of what many agencies are striving to achieve online. “By integrating efficient dynamic packaging and booking engine technologies with its core web site, ActiGlobe will have a powerful new distribution and sales channel.”
