With more than 30 successful years in the hospitality field, accompanied by numerous awards and distinctions, Mr. Fuentes will strive to secure and expertly service group business at the resort.

As group business is a major touchstone for Sonesta Maho, we are proudly implementing new initiatives to better assist corporate guests, says Brice O`Keeffe, Director of Sales and Marketing for Sonesta Maho Beach Resort & Casino. Ruben`s esteemed career in conference planning will serve to enhance our group experience with unprecedented programs and service.

Mr. Fuentes spent more than 15 years as Director of Conference Services for Sonesta Beach Resort in Key Biscayne, Florida, where he was selected as Manager of the Year, 2005. Prior to that, he headed conference services for University of Miami.

His many accolades include Meeting News Magazine`s Planner`s Choice Award in 2002 and 2003, Successful Meetings Magazine`s Pinnacle Award 2001 - 2006, and Meeting & Convention Magazine`s Gold Key Award 1989 - 2004.
