Singapore Airlines And Tourism Malaysia cooperate on joint promotion
Tuesday, June 12, 2007
In conjunction with the “Visit Malaysia Year 2007”, Singapore Airlines will partner with Tourism Malaysia to jointly market various destinations in Malaysia. A major item of this joint promotion is the Singapore Airlines Boarding Pass Privileges (BPP) Malaysia programme.

The BPP Malaysia allows Singapore Airlines and SilkAir customers visiting Malaysia to enjoy special offers on dining and entertainment, hotels, golf, shopping, leisure activities and tourist attractions.

This BPP Malaysia programme is a co-operative effort between Singapore Airlines and Tourism Malaysia. Tourism Malaysia, with its aim to boost tourist arrivals into Malaysia and to help increase the attractiveness of the various Malaysian destinations, will distribute the BPP Malaysia flyers in all their overseas offices. Singapore Airlines similarly will promote the BPP Malaysia at all its overseas destinations.

“The Boarding Pass Privileges programme has proven itself to be a sustainable and successful programme. The attractiveness of BPP Malaysia can be enhanced with the winning formula of establishing a diverse network of Malaysian partners in providing tangible benefits to our customers,” said Mr. Huang Cheng Eng, Singapore Airlines Executive Vice President for Marketing and Regions.

“We are pleased with our partnership with Tourism Malaysia for these joint promotions. This serves to strengthen the BPP programme and promote traffic from around our network to our Malaysian gateways.”

Besides the Singapore Airlines BPP programme, Singapore Airlines and Tourism Malaysia are working together to conduct familiarization trips from about 20 different overseas cities to destinations in Malaysia such as Langkawi, Penang, Kota Kinabalu, Kuching and Kuala Lumpur.
