CMNet signs agreement with Worldspan
Friday, June 15, 2007
One of Latin America`s leading hotel distribution and reservations management companies, CMNet, has signed a long-term distribution agreement with Worldspan. The new agreement will give Worldspan subscribers integrated access to the comprehensive inventories of CMNet`s nearly 600 important affiliated hotel chains and resorts via the Worldspan global distribution system (GDS).

CMNet offers substantial new content to Worldspan`s hotel database, representing all global hotel chain properties located in Brazil and Argentina, the properties of national chains in Brazil and Argentina, plus a significant number of independent hotels offering reach to destinations in Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay and Chile.

According to the agreement, an interface between CMNet`s central reservations platform and the Worldspan GDS will allow Worldspan subscribers worldwide to shop and book CMNet inventory using the latest technologies, and receive instant confirmations from hotels. To create an interface to the Worldspan GDS, CMNet is taking advantage of Worldspan XML Pro messaging technology, the leading global IP data exchange tool for travel supplier-GDS connections.

We are delighted to partner with CMNet in expanding our database with hundreds of valuable Latin American properties, said Mike Parks, Worldspan senior vice president - Global Operations and Agency Marketing. Our subscribers, along with CMNet`s hotel customers and travelers who choose CMNet properties, will all benefit from the most efficient hotel distribution solutions in the industry.

Worldspan offers a high-tech and far-reaching opportunity for our participating hotels to reach travel retailers in South America and throughout the world, said Marcus Crivellari Moreira, commercial director for CMNet. CMNet and Worldspan share a commitment to innovation and advancement for all participants in the Latin American travel business, and this is the foundation for a fruitful partnership.
