HFTP reveals winners of HITEC 2007 FAVE Awards
Monday, July 02, 2007
Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP), producers of the 2007 Hospitality Industry Technology Exposition and Conference (HITEC), have revealed the winners of the brand new HITEC FAVE Awards, a program that identifies HITEC attendees` favorite booth designs and technology solutions.

Award winners in all four categories were revealed at Thursday’s (28th of June) closing session, “2007 CIO Challenge: Suppliers Respond.” The new awards were unveiled at HITEC 2007, June 26-28 in Orlando, Fla.

Attendees noted their favorite booth designs as they explored the exhibit hall and then voted at one of the FAVE Awards voting stations in the exhibit hall. In addition to voting on booth design, attendees voted for the HITEC Favorite Solutions Awards, which spotlights the five favorite technologies or solutions exhibited at HITEC.

HITEC FAVE Award winners for 2007 include:

Attendees who voted for the HITEC FAVE awards were entered into a drawing for a Philips 26-inch LCD high-definition flatscreen TV. The drawing winner was Merrie Bird from Canyon Ranch Resort in Phoenix, AZ.

HFTP devised the HITEC FAVE Awards based on responses from focus groups and surveys. The feedback indicated that attendees were seeking a program that would give exhibitors an added incentive to promote their technologies and exhibits, and enhance the sense of excitement and competition at the exposition.

How is the use of biofuels by the aviation industry going to affect the environment?

It will be a positive step towards fighting climate change, as the aviation industry will be able to reduce its C02 emissions.

It will be positive for the environment but it will cause huge problems in other industries such as the food industry, especially in food supply.

It will have a negative impact as the widespread planting and use of biofuel crops could threaten the natural ecosystems.

It will harm the environment as carbon savings from biofuels are negligible.
