Anvil Group to provide Omega World Travel tools for business travelers
Wednesday, July 04, 2007
The Anvil Group, specialist in crisis avoidance services, revealed that Omega World Travel, a travel management company, has chosen the agency edition of its Employee Travel Monitoring Service (ETMS). Using the ETMS Omega is able to provide its corporate clients with real-time information on their travellers whereabouts, ensuring businesses are able to adhere to corporate travel polices and fulfil their duty of care obligations.

Linked with all global distribution systems, the web-based portal consolidates pre-mid and post trip traveller activity, country-based risk intelligence, Government and Embassy warnings, international security updates and client-specific intelligence information into one easily accessible resource.

“The focus on traveller safety and security is at an all time high,” says Omega World Travel, Commercial Director, Mark Hansford. “Anvil Group’s ETMS enables the monitoring of air, including the low cost carriers and rail travel as well as accommodation only reservations on behalf of our clients. With the system in place we are able to offer our clients reassurance that their duty of care, with regards to travel, will be met and are fully prepared to provide business travellers with the duty of care they have come to expect when in the office.”

“Omega World Travel is ahead of many travel management companies today. Using this latest version of ETMS it is able to react rapidly to any emerging and active security threat on a global basis,” says The Anvil Group Director, Matthew Judge.

How do you expect luxury travel to perform in times of economic downturn?.

Providers of luxury travel products are going to witness shorter stays by their customers and an increase in seasonality.

People are going to become more value conscious and will opt for those luxury offers that represent a convincing value-for-money proposition. Providers of overpriced services are those to feel the pinch.

Both people paying for their personal trips and firms paying for their top executives' business trips will cut back on travel expenses, thus affecting all luxury travel providers.

It is going to be business as usual. Those people opting for high-end travel products are not going to be affected by the looming crisis.
