TTI Executive Forum to explore industry`s pressing issues
Tuesday, July 17, 2007
Travel Technology Initiative is planning to hold an Executive Forum in December. Senior management from across the travel industry will explore the industry`s most pressing business process and technological issues. The Forum will use Open Space methodology, where delegates set their own agenda for the day. Delegates will be seated in the round to explore issues that are of true concern and then break out into separate meetings to debate the issues in more detail. The day will end with delegates voting on which issues need the most urgent attention.

The Executive Forum is being held at the prestige conference location of Beaumont House in Windsor. Attendance at the event will be by invitation only.

The objective for the Forum will be to set TTI`s agenda for the coming years, to ensure its projects address the real needs of the industry. Mick Mott, General Manager of TTI stated, It is very important that TTI`s project work remains focused on the issues that are of most concern to travel companies. We are inviting the senior captains of the travel industry to the Executive Forum in the expectation that they will be able to give voice to those matters that TTI urgently needs to address in its project work.

The outcome of the day will be a remit from the industry to set-up TTI working parties to tackle the industry`s concerns. TTI is a cooperative organisation and so the working parties will be made up of managers from the travel companies themselves, facilitated by TTI to move the whole industry forward. TTI will be helping the travel industry to help itself. he added.
