Port Louis Marina and Grenada Sailing Festival sign title sponsorship agreement
Wednesday, July 18, 2007
Port Louis Grenada has once again reaffirmed its commitment to developing Grenada`s tourism industry and to its role as a world class marina and yachting developer. Port Louis Grenada and the Grenada Sailing Festival have announcedthat Port Louis will be the new title sponsor of the Grenada Sailing Festival. As title sponsor, Port Louis Grenada will make a significant contribution to the festival over the next three years.

Additionally, Port Louis will also provide the needed infrastructure for the successful staging and growth of the event. The Port Louis Marina will be able to provide berthing facilities for over 300 boats and the organizers say this will enhance the International Keelboat event. Resident Director, Mr. Richard Hallam said the Port Louis sponsorship is vital in many areas. Not only will we be able to accommodate and provide services for more yachts, but we will be able to attract a higher standard and quality of yachts through our international marketing effort. What is also very important is that the profile of this event will be raised significantly now that Peter de Savary`s name is associated with it. I am excited that we have once again combined the remarkable beauty and warmth of Grenada with the international reputation of Mr. Peter de Savary and his love for sailing.

Grenada Sailing Festival chairman, Mr. Jimmy Bristol expressed his delight in having Port Louis Grenada as the New Title Sponsor and he looks forward to a successful partnership.

Port Louis Grenada looks forward to working with the Grenada Sailing Festival Team to make the Grenada Sailing Festival 2008 and onwards one of the best in the world.

Poll
How do you expect luxury travel to perform in times of economic downturn?.

Providers of luxury travel products are going to witness shorter stays by their customers and an increase in seasonality.

People are going to become more value conscious and will opt for those luxury offers that represent a convincing value-for-money proposition. Providers of overpriced services are those to feel the pinch.

Both people paying for their personal trips and firms paying for their top executives' business trips will cut back on travel expenses, thus affecting all luxury travel providers.

It is going to be business as usual. Those people opting for high-end travel products are not going to be affected by the looming crisis.
