RADIUS, the global travel company, announced today that World Travel, Inc. in the United States has joined the travel management network. World Travel, Inc., headquartered in Pennsylvania, turns over approximately USD 450 million in annual sales and is the fifth ranked corporate-owned agency in Business Travel News’ 2007 Business Travel Survey.

Founded in 1983 by Dr. James R. World Travel, Inc. currently operates 81 office locations including six reservation centers throughout the United States. During this time period World Travel, Inc. staff has increased from 2 to 350 dedicated travel professionals. With a strong focus on mid-market corporate travel management, along with meetings and incentives and leisure, World Travel is opening two new market territories this year and will continue to enhance its mid-market travel management growth including multinational business.

James A. Wells, World Travel, Inc. president and chief executive officer offered: “We are joining one of the best travel management organizations to further our international capabilities and service worldwide. As part of that effort we will be working to expand our collaboration with our RADIUS partners, who effectively work together to create a common global travel management platform, to provide important strategic value to our clients. The business management principles, corporate cultures and approach to business development strategies are very well aligned. RADIUS is a global organization and we will explore all of the opportunities offered in the international arena in order to realize maximum benefit from this new relationship.”

Tony Hughes, president and chief executive officer of RADIUS said: “RADIUS has long been the largest high quality corporate travel management organization and we are always on the lookout for the most dynamic agencies. This addition proves yet again that we are the best positioned agency network to respond to global travel trends including, but not limited to multinational account consolidation and technology. We are tremendously excited to add our world-class expertise in managing global travel to World Travel, Inc.’s long and successful track record for delivering quality travel products and services.”

How is the use of biofuels by the aviation industry going to affect the environment?

It will be a positive step towards fighting climate change, as the aviation industry will be able to reduce its C02 emissions.

It will be positive for the environment but it will cause huge problems in other industries such as the food industry, especially in food supply.

It will have a negative impact as the widespread planting and use of biofuel crops could threaten the natural ecosystems.

It will harm the environment as carbon savings from biofuels are negligible.
