Wednesday, July 25, 2007
The NBTA Foundation, the education and research foundation of the National Business Travel Association (NBTA), announced partnerships with RADIUS and Travelocity Business to offer corporate clients of those leading travel management companies access to the NBTA Foundation`s Managed Travel Index® (MTI) & Benchmarking Tool.

The NBTA Foundation MTI & Benchmarking Tool is a unique resource that allows corporate travel managers to:

The agreement with RADIUS enables its travel management companies to sign clients up for the MTI & Benchmarking Tool. Travelocity Business has arranged to offer the tool to its corporate client base.

As a full-service travel management company, Travelocity Business always looks for new ways to provide clients with strategic direction that can lead to additional savings and process improvements, said DeAnne Dale, Vice President of Account Management for Tbiz. By offering the NBTA Foundation`s Managed Travel Index & Benchmarking Tool, we can define a baseline for a client`s current program performance and recommend strategies to move them to best in class.

Tony Hughes, President and CEO for RADIUS, said, RADIUS and our travel management companies pride ourselves on working closely with clients to drive mutual value. By enabling RADIUS to offer the NBTA Foundation Managed Travel Index & Benchmarking Tool to clients, in addition to internal benchmarking we already do through our RADIUS Information Bank Services program, we are creating opportunities for clients to work together with RADIUS to strengthen their managed travel programs.

The NBTA Foundation yesterday announced and demonstrated updates to the Managed Travel Index® (MTI) & Benchmarking Tool.

NBTA Direct Members can gain free access to the upgraded tool through September 30, 2007. By inputting their data by that date, they will receive a 50 percent discount off the subscription fee through December 31, 2008.

Poll
How is the use of biofuels by the aviation industry going to affect the environment?

It will be a positive step towards fighting climate change, as the aviation industry will be able to reduce its C02 emissions.

It will be positive for the environment but it will cause huge problems in other industries such as the food industry, especially in food supply.

It will have a negative impact as the widespread planting and use of biofuel crops could threaten the natural ecosystems.

It will harm the environment as carbon savings from biofuels are negligible.
